Get To Know Charlotte
Before joining Bamieh & De Smeth, Charlotte served as a public defender in Santa Barbara County, where she defended individuals against criminal charges. She also previously worked with a women’s rights organization in Madrid, Spain, and completed advanced studies in human rights at Columbia University.
Charlotte earned her undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University and her J.D. from Stanford Law School. Her legal career has been shaped by her passion for human rights, social justice, and helping individuals navigate challenging circumstances with dignity and fairness.
Charlotte’s civil practice includes representing clients injured in auto accidents, slip and falls, and civil rights violations, as well as handling select employment matters. Her compassionate approach, paired with sharp legal advocacy, ensures her clients are supported both personally and legally throughout their case.
